By leveraging the power of leadership to drive results that matter most to Pharma Leaders Professionals, Pharma Leaders Awards have been trendsetters transforming individual leaders, teams, organizations and pharma scientists. Pharma Leaders’s array of cutting-edge healthcare solutions is steeped in extensive research and experience gained from working with hundreds of thousands of leaders at all levels in different aspects of the fields. Ranked among the asia’s top healthcare leadership destination where talent meets with healthcare innovators, Pharma Leaders Power Brand Awards are much sought after healthcare titles & pharmaceutical healthcare recognitions in the industry today where conventional norms are sometimes broken to give space to budding & unsung healthcare leaders who are often seen performing tirelessly much from the media glare, under tough & challenging conditions making our country proud.

The Theme of the 9th Annual Pharmaceutical Leadership Summit & Pharma Leaders Business Leadership Awards is aptly coined as “India @ 70, Patient First”. In an era where companies buy companies, brands acquired, collaborations formed, revenue models restructured, leadership strategies revamped, the brand india pharma is on the sound footing today. However, Healthcare innovations is meaningless unless access & affordability to the end user, the patients!.Patient First is thus the real need of the hour where 70% of Indian population can get medicines at affordable price & insurance is covered to all & not just to few pockets.

In a country where more than 70 % of 1.3 billion populations are still deprived of basic healthcare access & insurance, I wonder how we can discuss our competence as a global power-house despite our defense capabilities. Healthcare too is a very important wing like defence & there should be no second opinion on our priorities!.It is therefore high time the present dispensation at the central government should discuss comprehensive healthcare reforms by calling a special session of parliament to pass the bill that India has been waiting over the 70 long years encompassing total healthcare benefits through a universal healthcare policy where affordable medicine & quality healthcare & access are practiced in letter & spirit rather than mere sloganeering. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been voted to power in india after a historic elections in 2014, must understand that people of india voted decisively to the present establishment because of Modi’s reputation in good governance & people centric policy, in no way people will listen to the promises that can be made in achieving the healthcare mission in the pretext of 2019 general election if voted to power again. Since 1947, successive ruling parties at the centre have failed to deliver the long standing demands of “healthcare for all”. Indeed, we are at the threshold of historic moments in present day where we can shape the future, empower the patients through healthcare access & help building a healthy nation.

Against the backdrop of the present state of healthcare affairs of the country, Pharma Leaders, asia’s most analytical new media in healthcare communication is hosting a historic summit currently in its 9th successful annual editions under the theme “Pharma Leaders 2016 : India @70, Patient First” on Friday at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai, the 23rd December 2016. More than 400 leading stalwarts from the industry, veteran healthcare leaders, politicians, policy makers, social activists, change agents will gather to witness the most awaited event of the calendar year. Nation’s top leaders & companies will also be conferred with pharma leaders power brand annual awards in more than 30 specialized categories. Leading lights of the pharmaceutical & healthcare sector will address at the summit on topics of tremendous significance followed by heated panel discussions.

Access to healthcare is influenced by whether or not people have health insurance, whether there is an adequate health provider workforce, how long the travel distances are to reach providers, and whether there are language and cultural barriers, and cost.  Barriers in any of these areas can result in lack of access, delays in care, higher costs and worst outcomes. People without health insurance or without a primary care provider are less likely to get timely treatment, screening and preventive services, and are more likely to use costly emergency services resulting in higher emergency room and higher hospitalization rates which are witnessed in our country. This must be addressed with utmost seriousness. Intellectual property rights (IPR), better patent protection, locking horns on compulsory licensing, stricter trademark enforcement, pricing, regulatory frameworks are some of the areas that India must give a serious look. It is high time we must set our house in order before lecturing outside. Easing of business is a big area that will open up global players to look at India safely.

Indian pharmaceutical companies have ranked low at 19th position with an overall score of 59 out of 100 among in the Biopharmaceutical Competitiveness & Investment (BCI) Survey. The total spending on healthcare is around 4 per cent of GDP, while the government spends less than 1 per cent of the GDP on health, even as the insurance penetration remains low (industry experts talk of less than 20 per cent of the population having health insurance).

The World Health Organization also ranks India at a low 112 level out of 190 countries on healthcare systems. Even countries with demographics similar to India, seem to have fared better. India, despite being armed with a domestic industry that has made the country a leading producer of low-cost medicines in the world, is still having to grapple with issues of seasonal diseases like Swine Flu, which resulted in numerous deaths despite an available vaccine. The same was the case with some region-specific and cyclic ailments like Chikungunya and Dengue. Experts point out that India still lacks a stockpiling policy on vaccines (in cases where they are available) and in cases where the vaccines are not available, there is lack of government push or a national focus to aid research in select therapy areas.

The growth story of the Indian pharma industry into a mammoth industry is an impressive one marked with numerous important turning points. These turning points have typically stemmed from the issues faced by the industry and have changed the nature and mechanisms of the industry, and to a large extent have sculpted the trends in the industry.

The Indian pharmaceutical industry is expected to be among the top 3 pharma markets by 2020 on back of incremental growth, says an Indian Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF) report. The industry, currently valued at near USD 26 billion, is expected to reach USD 55 billion in the next four years. From 2005-16, the industry has seen a growth of 17.90 percent CAGR. The market size has expanded to USD 36.7 billion in 2016 from USD 6 billion in 2005. India is the largest provider of generic drugs and has 20 percent global exports in terms of volume. In recent times, the pharmaceutical sector had taken a beating over the stricter regulatory actions from the United States Food & Drug Association (USFDA) and a subdued global economy. Indian pharma companies will need to adapt their business models, organizations and processes to align with new environments. Leading global companies have adopted multiple levers to tap emerging markets for product portfolios, sourcing or innovation. However their ability to understand these markets and drive revenue growth will be the key determinant of the extent of their investment and participation.

India has skilled workforce and competent technical expertise in comparison to its peers. India has the second largest number of USFDA approved manufacturing plant outside the US and has 2,633 FDA approved drugs. While growth opportunities for the sector are expected to rise, growing competition and entrance of new players will be a major challenge for pharmaceutical companies. The bigger players with strong financial hold too will be a concern. Also, tightening of norms by regulatory bodies will be a challenge as the companies will have to improve and remain at the top-of-their-game.

A ban on hundreds of medicines in India because of concerns over health risks has brought into focus the drastic need for tighter regulation of the country’s multibillion dollar pharmaceutical industry. India’s government recently has put a ban on the manufacture and sale of more than 340 fixed dose combination drugs, resulting in major pharmaceutical firms including Pfizer’s Indian division and Cipla taking the case to Delhi high court in an effort to overthrow the move.

India’s pharmaceutical industry is ranked third globally in terms of volume and 13th in value, accounting for 10 per cent of production worldwide, according to a report by The Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (Assocham) and Yes Bank. It says that the industry in India is expected to grow to $48 billion by the financial year between April 2017 to March 2018, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 14 per cent.India’s pharmaceutical industry thrives on the production of cheap generic drugs, which are copies of off-patent medicines. India is estimated to produce one-fifth of generic medicines globally.

I see India as a potential pharmacy hub for the world, “If we make a few changes in the way we do and manage business in India, we can accelerate that process & confident that India could have a $300bn pharmaceutical industry by 2030.Technology will be a game changer in the manner in which healthcare services will be delivered in India. The private sector will be the major driving force behind technology adoption in the Indian healthcare segment. To optimize costs and effectively manage operations, IT solutions will become an integral part of process management, patient care and the management information system (MIS) in hospitals. With the health insurance sector poised for major growth in the coming decade, increasing demand from this sector for more efficient systems for storage and retrieval of information will put pressure on hospitals and other healthcare providers to imbibe technology to modernize existing infrastructure.

sush tw

Announcing the name for the prestigious award, Satya Brahma, Chairman & Editor-In-Chief of Indian Affairs, said “Sushmita has made us proud not only as a Peace Ambassador of India but to the world, someone who brought India the much desired glory & fame when she was crowned the Miss Universe & sent a strong signal to the world. It is therefore, no exaggeration to say that, It was Sushmita who became the symbol of peace & a vibrant & strong voice to dominant issues that the country & the world are facing. She made history and has been a part of that historic phase when the inspirational youth icon & beautiful actress Sushmita Sen became mesmerized the audiance with her grace, peace & humanity. Again, Sushmita made history by adopting a baby girl named Renee in 2000 at the age of 25 & in 2010 she adopted a three-month-old girl and named her Alisah, something which is rare in today’s society. To me, she is the ultimate woman. The recognition signifies the remarkable accomplishments of Sushmita as an actress who defied all odds & became the darling of the nation”.

The past recipients of the award in the Bollywood segments includes Priyanka Chopra, Rani Mukerji, Anushka Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor, Film maker late Yash Chopra. The 2016 list also saw names of Super Star Govinda, Karishma kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Tina Ahuja, Fashion Designers Neeta Lulla & Namrata Joshipura, Jewellery designer Poonam Soni.

Sushmita was born in the Bengali-speaking Sen family on November 19, 1975 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. Her family consists of her dad, Shubeer, a former Indian Air Force Wing Commander; mom, Subhra, Jewelry Designer and owner of a Dubai-based store. She has two siblings, a sister named Neelam, who is married to Nauman Malik, and a brother named Rajeev. Subhra’s dad was a poet. She attended different schools in Jorhat, and Nagpur, but spend the majority of her schooling days in the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute and Air Force Silver School in Delhi. She was regarded as a tomboy and spent most of her times with boys. Since the schools were Hindi medium, she could not speak English until she was 16 years of age. She subsequently not only mastered English, but became an English Honors student, and also obtained a degree in Journalism. Due to her place of birth she can speak Urdu flawlessly. Her first public appearance was at the Air Force Club Contest at the age of 15. She did a few fashion shows thereafter. Then during 1994 she decided to be a participant in Miss India beauty pageant, fully aware that she was being pitted against the reigning favorite, Aishwarya Rai. Sushmita took everyone by surprise when she was crowned Miss India while Aishwarya had to content with being the First Runner-up. Both beauties went on to win Miss Universe and Miss World titles respectively. Ironically the final outfit for Miss Universe for Sushmita was made by a little-known Meena Bazar tailor, and her mom.

Sushmita’s stunning win was an inspiration for other beauty queen aspirants. Soon after her win, India witnessed a sudden rise in beauty pageant winners; the green-eyed beauty Aishwarya Rai won the Miss World contest, followed by the likes of Diana Hayden (Miss World 1997), Yukta Mookhey (Miss World 1999), Lara Dutta (Miss Universe 2000), and Priyanka Chopra (Miss World 2000). As for Sen, immediately post her phenomenal win, a career in Bollywood beckoned this leggy star. She debuted on the big screen, in 1996, with the filmDastak. Although the film did not create ripples at the Box office, but Sushmita had made her presence felt. However, it was in the year 1999, in David Dhawan’s Biwi No 1, when she got a chance to act opposite Salman Khan, that Sen got noticed; she made the audience dance to the foot tapping number, Chunari Chunari. Sen’s height gave her impressive screen presence, which added to her beauty, and attractive personality. Her role in the film won her the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress award. Post Biwi No 1, a lull in her film career followed, with a series of films not faring too well.  A sizzling cameo song appearance in Fiza, with the popular Mehboob Mere somewhat kept her in the reckoning. But, then came the year 2004, when her career got a much-needed lease on life, with Farah Khan’s directorial venture,Main Hoon Na, opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The film was a blockbuster at the box office, and still remainsSushmita Sen’s biggest hit.Playing the role of a chemistry teacher, Sushmita did full justice to her character. The 5 feet 7 inches tall, leggy lady, with her svelte figure, had the nation swooning with her sensuous dance moves in the chartbuster, Tumhe Jo Maine Dekha, along with co-star SRK. The chemistry between the duo was crackling. No wonder then, that the success of the film was inevitable.

Simply Saana Vohra & her wedding solutions mantras

Meet the youngest contestant of the Indian Affairs New Age Woman in Innovations & Creativity 2016, the 25 year old bubbly entrepreneur who left a tempting MNC job to start her journey to change the look of wedding mantras at her very own enterprise Indian Affairs spoke to Saana on five point reply to the question on why she should win the coveted award at the India Leadership Conclave & Indian Affairs Business Leadership Awards 2016 ,currently in its 7th glorious year to be held in Mumbai on Friday, 1st July 2016 at Hotel Hilton, Mumbai India under the theme “ADVANTAGE INDIA, IT IS NOW OR NEVER

1.Describe briefly about your organization/You

Before founding Indear, I grew up all over Asia – in India, Singapore, and the Philippines. I then attended Brown University in the US where I started my first company and got a taste for entrepreneurship. After graduating I joined Morgan Stanley New York’s investment banking franchise, where I focused on equity transactions in the technology sector. However, the entrepreneurial bug never really left me. After two years of working with inspiring technology CEOs on their initial public offerings, and selling their stories to investors, I knew I had to go back to my first love. When listening to my friend complaining about the wedding planning process – I had a gut feeling I had found my next venture.

Despite India’s enormous spending power and cultural fascination with weddings, there was no centralized site for high-quality wedding content, products, and services – and we intended to fill that gap. is an inspiration, planning, shopping, and services portal for Indian weddings. We source wedding content, products, and services directly from India’s best wedding vendors and designers, and organize it in an innovative manner to simplify the process of planning your dream wedding. Users can explore, save, and share wedding ideas, purchase wedding fashion, jewelry, gifts and favours, as well as book venues, make-up and mehendi artists directly on our website. We are a one-stop shop for all your wedding needs, from planning to purchase.

2.Why do you think that you deserve the coveted Award

I believe I deserve this award because my company is completely transforming one of the largest, oldest, and most disorganized industries in India. Despite being a $40 billion industry, most of the Indian wedding industry (from small designers, to florists, to venues) do not make their information and rates accessible online, and make it impossible to actually make a purchase or a booking online. We are solving this problem by organizing them, making them accessible and facilitating bookings online too.

We started out as a team of 3 people working out of a restaurant’s back office in Lower Parel, and grew to a company of 18 people offering a full range of wedding services (from inspiration, to purchasing products, to booking services) in a span of 18 months.

We also just raised our first round of funding of INR 4 crore from an institutional investor and active angel investors to scale our model and reach new customers across India and abroad (the funding will be formally announced during the last week of April). Raising this round of funding makes me one of the youngest Indian women ever to raise an institutional round of capital.

Not only are we changing the way Indians plan weddings, but there are many factors that differentiate us from our competition too such as:

  1. We are a complete end-to-end portal from inspiration, to planning, to purchasing
  2. We allow users to make real-time purchases on our platform in both Shop and Services
  3. We have any extremely supportive offline concierge service to help users make bookings and even visit venues with our customers to assist them through the process
  4. The very best brands and vendors in the business are our partners, including the Taj Group of Hotels, the Wedding Filmer, Ritu Kumar, Anita Dongre, Amrapali, Forest Essentials and many more
  5. We have a very high standard for the vendors we allow to be listed on our portal

3.Describe the career highlights & top moments

Attending Brown University (an Ivy League college which is one of the hardest to get into in the United States) was a definite highlight, as it was there that I discovered I had a passion for entrepreneurship after I co-founded our college’s largest student-run business at the time. Our business, 2020 Restaurant Discount LLC, offered discounts to students at nearby restaurants during off-peak hours. I graduated Magna cum Laude from Brown, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest and most prestigious academic honors society in the United States. I then was offered a highly competitive role as an investment banking analyst on Morgan Stanley’s technology equity capital markets team, where I worked on landmark IPOs such as Twitter,, and GrubHub Seamless.

However, the top moment of my career so far has definitely been founding Indear. I saw a genuine need in the wedding space that was not being fulfilled, and despite being out of the country for so long (and never having worked in technology before), I did the research and then took a leap of faith to found this company. As mentioned, we also just raised our first round of funding of INR 4 crore from an institutional investor and active angel investors, making us the first company in our space to receive funding from a prominent institutional investor. Lastly, we were interview by Bloomberg a couple of weeks ago about our journey, the link to the video is here:–tension-free-weddings.

4.What are the unique differentiators of this Nomination that would merit this category to be considered for an award?

I think this is a really interesting and relevant category to be nominated for. Unlike other more traditional categories like “Business Women of the Year,” this award for “New Age Woman in Innovations and Creativity” focuses on women that are innovating and providing creative solutions to the fields that they work in. These platforms are not necessarily purely online or offline, but are often a mixture of many mediums to provide the most effective solution for customers.

I genuinely believe we are providing a modern, useful, convenient and fun solution in an industry that has lacked innovation for many decades, and I am very grateful to be nominated for this award.

5.What is your Vision & where you want to see yourself in the year 2020?

In 2020 I want every woman who gets engaged in India to think of our company the moment the ring slips on her finger. I want our company to be completely ingrained in the wedding industry across cities, cultures, and budgets so that every Indian bride can find any product or service that she is looking for (be it mehendi giveaways or a DJ) on our portal. I want us to continue having fantastic customer service so that these brides trust that our company will make the biggest day of their lives as special and stress-free as possible. With the wedding industry pegged at $40 billion and growing 25% year-on-year, I believe we can be a billion dollar company by the year 2020.

Women Leadership – an epic economic and social failure!

Political leaders around the globe are intensely seeking solutions to boost domestic economic growth. Yet one solution that is proven and involves half the population is often overlooked. By unlocking the full economic potential of women, countries can strengthen productivity, stimulate demand and boost growth. In Asia, policies that bring more women into the workforce could counteract the coming labor shortage from aging populations. In Europe, improving women’s employment could bolster domestic demand. In Africa, giving female farmers equal access to agriculture supplies and services would increase yields and incomes, improving the health and education of the next generation. In Arab transition countries, addressing female youth unemployment, among the highest in the world, is vital for building more inclusive economies.

Women’s leadership potential has been massively untapped— an epic economic and social failure.

Progress is within our reach. Today, girls attend primary schools at the same rate as boys almost everywhere, and we are seeing more women enter secondary and higher education in a growing number of countries. Women now make up 40% of the global labor force.

Yet despite these achievements, the gap between men’s and women’s earnings and productivity is still large. Even in countries where women are graduating from college at the same or greater rates than men, the pay gap persists. More women than men are trapped in low-productivity jobs. Around the globe, women are over-represented in the informal economy, where wages tend to be below-market and job mobility is limited. Across businesses, women are underrepresented in leadership positions and in boardrooms. And from one country to the next, enterprises led by men too often out-earn those led by women.

Women with minimal access to resources and no access to child care have limited choices that too often mean low-wage and part-time labor. In rural communities in the developing world, when women farmers have unequal access to fertilizers or training, their farm productivity lags behind men. When rules and laws inhibit women’s ownership of collateral, economies lose out on the wasted talents of female entrepreneurs. This remains true today. Without the full contribution of women, no economy will reach its full potential.

Slimsutra Founder Shelly Khera on an expansion plan, to explore meaningful collaborations both in india & abroad.

Slim Sutra Slimming and Yoga Wellness Centre managed under the visionary leadership of Yogacharya Shelly Khera was recently awarded at Pharma Leaders Super Brand Awards 2015 as “India’s Most Promising & Valuable Nutrition & Wellness  Centre in Diet & Nutritional Counseling 2015”

Slim Sutra Slimming and Yoga Wellness Centre  was recognized at the the 8th Annual Pharmaceutical Leadership Summit & Business Leadership Awards  2015 in Mumbai in December where more than 300 top leaders of the healthcare industry had gathered to be the part of the historic debate on  “Pharma Leaders 2015, Brand India Winning”. Slim Sutra received the prestigious & most credible award title “India’s Most Promising & Valuable Nutrition & Wellness  Centre in Diet & Nutritional Counseling 2015” by the Network 7 Media Group Jury for its path-breaking innovations in Yoga slimming solutions & variety of other lifestyle issues.

Yoga is a fine science that blends body, mind & soul. We at Slimsutra make every attempt to connect body, mind & soul in a natural & scientific way.

The yoga practice of mindfulness increases awareness of the body and its responses. That awareness is good for your diet. When you are aware that you grab a snack for quick energy when you’re tired, you can decide to get more sleep. When you remember the heavy feeling from an order of fries or the espresso buzz that keeps you from sleep, you can make healthier choices. Yoga poses that enhance mindfulness and relaxation might include Uttanasana, a standing forward bend in which the head and torso fold down as close to the front of the legs as possible, with the fingertips beside the feet or the palms flat on the floor by the ankles. Uttanasana helps to reduce fatigue, anxiety and stress. Savasana, or Corpse pose, is a long relaxed stretch with your back on the mat, legs extended and arms down along the sides. In Savasana, you are as close to sleep as you can get while still fully awake. Yoga and Weight Loss has reported on several studies that confirm the links between weight loss and yoga. Yoga creates long, lean muscles. That’s good news for looking and feeling fit on a diet. But the best news is that the muscle keeps on working for you even when you’re not working it. Muscle burns fat whether it is engaged or at rest. The higher the proportion of muscle tissue you have, the more fat you burn. The strengthening and lengthening aspects of evening yoga practice help you to lose weight while you sleep.

The yoga practice of mindfulness increases awareness of the body and its responses. That awareness is good for your diet. When you are aware that you grab a snack for quick energy when you’re tired, you can decide to get more sleep. Yoga is not a recent phenomenon. It is an ancient Indian practice which is associated not just with the physical well-being of the body but with the overall health of a human being. I see yoga as a holistic package, which unlike other physical activities aims at cleansing and rejuvenating the human body from outside as well as within. If one adopts the practice as a part of everyday routine, one can actually feel the difference – mentally, physically as well spiritually. And as an added bonus, it can bring about weight loss too. With the growing trend of people getting more cautious of their expanding waistlines and increased instances of metabolic disorders – cancer, diabetes and others – there has been a sudden upsurge in people prioritising their health and resorting to tailor-made diet plans and fitness regimes. For the longest time in my life, I was of the opinion that yoga involves a set of exercises where holding certain postures for a few seconds was the main objective. I used to think of it as a regime meant for those who were already fit but were keen on building their flexibility. I could somehow never relate it to being an effective tool for weight loss as compared to the high intensive workout sessions in the gyms. It took me quite some time to understand the mechanism of different asanas and their efficacy but I must tell you, the understanding of it was enlightening, affirmative and oh, so gratifying!

Yoga and weight loss

Before we target weight loss, it is important to understand the various factors that contribute in weight gain. Apart from faulty dietary habits, one should identify that weight gain also stems from inefficient functioning of various bodily functions. Yoga has some of the most basic breathing practices at its base which aims at cleansing, balancing and rejuvenating our inner organs and their functions. Various breathing exercises and basic asanas help in increasing metabolic and heart rates. Once you are healed from within, the focus then shifts towards the outer body.

Yoga is considered as one of the the best and simplest ways for weight loss. The best thing about yoga is that it can be practised by people of any age as it is equally good for any age group. Even pregnant women are recommended to do Yoga because it can be healthful during the period as long as they take certain precautions.Stress has been linked to many health problems including gaining weight. Yoga, which is believed to be a good stress buster, will not only help you stay in shape, but will also reduce your risk of getting certain diseases. Losing weight and staying fit can help boost a person’s self-esteem and decrease stress levels.

However, give it time and patience & I can promise Yoga is undoubtedly the best gift you can give to your body and your mind.

Indian Affairs: There will be a boom in the traditional medicine industry as we are trying to push the industry and take it to the international level. The prime minister has also decided to take this traditional science seriously. Your take on this?

Shelly Khera: I think its a brilliant and much needed initiative. The ancient Indian literature and traditional science has a wealth of life changing secrets and health solutions. If adapted well, it has the power to bring positive change in the lives of those who accept and practice it whole-heartedly.

The new technology introduced by Slim Sutra called Non Surgical External Lipolysis helps an individual to stay fit without disrupting the daily course of life. This technology doesn’t require LIPOSUCTION or any other techniques which interferes in the daily routine and neither does it require any compromise on the diet of the person. The technology will be a breather for fitness enthusiast across due to the simple and easy to understand technique of keeping one’s body in shape.

The ultrasonic lipolysis, also known as aesthetic cavitation is a relatively new technique that applies a phenomenon knows in physics to aesthetics. This phenomenon is called cavitation, and is a very smart way to reduce fat because it is converted into liquid and then is naturally eliminated with urine. When cavitation is followed by a lymphatic drainage the process is faster, as the drainage is very effective eliminating liquids. Let’s look at the details on how ultrasonic cavitation works: The ultrasonic cavitation reduces fat cells with certain manipulation techniques, thanks to a machine that is placed on the skin exactly in the area that has to be treated. The cavitation physic principle was not used, until some time ago, in aesthetic medicine. The machine works with ultrasounds that form bubble in the tissues where the fat cells are. The bubble expands and then it is immediately compressed. The temperature increases due to the pressure sudden variation and the bubble implodes. The implosion damages the fat cells, reducing the localized adiposity. With the cavitation the fat cells are exposed to a pressure that breaks their membranes, unleashing the destruction of adipose deposits. The fat contained (triglycerides) fragments into diglycerides that are expelled via the urinary system. It is strongly suggested a low‐ calorie diet and to drink at least two litres of water before and after the treatment, being an essential step in the fat elimination process. Generally one cavitation treatment lasts 35 minutes, where a single part of the body is treated: abdomen, buttocks, internal or external part of the legs are the most common ones. Between a session and another 72 hours must pass, so the body can eliminate fat. The minimum suggested number of sessions is from 6 to 10. How does cavitation work? The advanced technology of cavitation enables the concentration of energy at precise depth in the tissue, which enables the selective dispersion of fat cells under the skin. The surface of the skin, the veins, the nerves and the muscles remain untouched. The fat out of the dispersed fat cells flows out in the form of triglycerides into the intercellular fluid, where it decomposes under the influence of enzymes into glycerol and simple fatty acids. The water‐ soluble glycerol enters the circulation and is spent for production of new energy, the insoluble simple fatty acids then travel into the liver, where they are decomposed like any other simple fatty acid, including those consumed from food. On which parts of body and how is cavitation executed? With cavitation procedure we remove cellulite and fat deposits which have accumulated on the BELLY, BUTTOCKS, THIGHS, HIPS, KNEES AND THE UPPER ARMS. With that, it is very important that you drink a lot of water, which helps the body to excrete the deposited fats. Who should make use of cavitation? Cavitation is meant for men and women who face problems of accumulated fat deposits or cellulite. Slim Sutra offer this unique, revolutionary and tested method of fat burning and body firming. Nowadays the shortage of time and exercise as well as inappropriate nutrition, rapidly increase the number of overweight people. A stern diet, strong will and hard work in the gym can contribute to weight reduction, yet they usually do not remove the inveterate fat cushions on one’s belly, hips and thighs. For a number of years surgical treatment (liposuction) had been the only solution for such problems. Does that mean there is no hope for men and women who refuse invasive procedures and the potential risks they bring with them? The cavitation procedure is a painless revolutionary service which does not affect the surrounding tissues and has no side effects. Even though many people are losing centimetres and gaining a new contour  during their cavitation sessions, they do not understand how this new miracle weapon against fat works. The time has come to clarify it.
