Akshara Haasan

hassan

The daughter of Indian film actor Kamal Haasan and younger sister of Shruti Haasan, Akshara Haasan is going all out to launch herself in Bollywood. She wants a dream debut in B-town and has moved to Mumbai, where she is staying with mom Sarika at her flat. She is also networking strategically to land the right kind of films. On January 5, 2011, she made heads turn when she appeared with Sarika at the reception of Imran Khan and Avantika. Unlike Shruti, who wants to work in the south as well as in Mumbai, Akshara is focused on making her mark in the Mumbai film industry. No wonder that Akshara Haasan is spotted at numerous events and parties these days where celebrities gather. To her credit, instead of appearing a snooty star daughter of superstar Kamal Haasan and Sarika, Akshara is always friendly. Akshara Haasan has been mingling with people to get noticed in the industry.”Akshara Haasan is close to her mom. And Sarika is using her contacts to get Akshara some work.” Shruti, on the other hand, has had a turn of bad luck in Bollywood. After a series of mediocre films such as Luck and Dil Toh Bachha Hai Ji, she is now giving time to the southern flicks she picked up recently. Besides, she is also concentrating on her music career.Meanwhile, according to reports, Akshara Haasan is also devoting time to learning Hindi and getting her photo shoots done.If you have extra information about Akshara Haasan, Please tell us by posting comments below we will update information. The youngest in actor Kamal Haasan’s family, his daughter Akshara has debuted in R Balki’s much-awaited film ‘Shamitabh’, starring opposite Tamil actor Dhanush and legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. There is a lot of interest in Haasan’s debut, especially since both her parents and her older sibling, Shruti, are all stars in their own right. But what has users on social platforms buzzing is also Haasan’s interesting new haircut. Haasan has shorn off her long hair for the film, deviating from the traditional style favoured by Indian actresses. Her tight cap of hair falls over on one side, accentuating the frame of her face, making a chic statement. The one-sided cut paired with her three piercings give her a tough image, without diminishing the attention from her grey eyes. Haasan when asked if she was intimidated by the thought of working alongside two major stars replied confidently saying they made her feel comfortable and were very supportive, according to the Times of India.Bachchan said: “Akshara came fully prepared and in fact were intimidated by her confidence.”. The young actress is known for having turned down several films, including Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kadal’ before accepting ‘Shamitabh’. She worked as an assistant director in the past with Rahul Dholakia, as well as with her father Kamal Haasan on the 2013 Tamil film ‘Vishwaroopam’.’Shamitabh’ is a combination of the last two letters of Dhanush’s name and Bachchan’s first name. Bachchan’s avatar in the film has also received a lot of attention: the actor dons a scruffy bearded look, with combinations of unkempt suits. Yesterday, he revealed the trailer of the film that is slated to release on February 6, 2015.

Every human being can have a special person in her life. In my case she is a woman. That is not a big deal.”. “The character, which I am playing is surrounded by her own family members and friends like all of you. It is a film, which you can watch with the entire family. There is nothing vulgar in it and I know the audience will accept my role, which is a bit unconventional, in the same way as they did in my previous films including the portrayal of Angoori Devi,” she added.Recalling her role in the much acclaimed DibakarBanerjee’s sleuth drama where she played the role of a 1943 film diva, Swastika said, “I had to do lots of research to go beyond the surface of the character who belongs to the 1943 film era.”I always love portraying roles in films, which I find challenging enough. From Dibakar’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! to Mainak’s Maach Mishti & More and Take One.Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’s lead actress Swastika Mukherjee  was seen raising the heat in the film is controversy’s favourite child. The Bengali beauty has made more news for all the wrong reasons than her acting skills. Look at me as a future Leader – Plus Size Heroine in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ Bhumi Pednekar

Debutante Bhumi Pednekar on playing the overweight protagonist of ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, learning to respect her body and why she wants to steer clear of stereotypes

From an assistant casting director to Yash Raj Films’ new heroine in Dum Laga Ke Haisha (DLKH), you seem to be living a fairytale.
Absolutely. This is my Cinderella moment. I belong to a simple Maharashtrian family and things like this don’t really happen to one of us. I always wanted to be an actor but I didn’t dare tell this to anyone because I knew that I didn’t fit into the ‘conventional’ image of a Hindi film heroine. I was always an overweight girl.

Did you have a lot of body issues while growing up?
I had my days of being made fun of by boys and being put down, but I always laughed it off. As I grew up, I started respecting my body. I’ve always been a confident girl because my family never made me uncomfortable about my weight. I always wore what I wanted to wear, partied and ate what I wanted to eat. I always thought I was beautiful. Ultimately, we have to learn that beauty is the way you feel and what you think of yourself — it’s about the respect you give to your body. Everyone has complexes. People are there to make fun of everything — someone’s height, weight or not knowing a language. It doesn’t help to fight the world. The best way to live is to accept who you are, understand what you can’t change about yourself and move on.

So how did the film offer come your way?
I joined Yash Raj Films (YRF) as a casting assistant to Abhimanyu Ray and then once he left, I worked with Shanoo Sharma. It was Shanoo who first mentioned that I should try acting when she saw me giving cues to actors. The actors that I auditioned — from Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput to Parineeti Chopra — would also joke that I should act, but I never took it seriously. Then we got the script of Dum Laga Ke Haisha and being an overweight girl, I instantly connected with it. Emotionally, I first connected with the scenes that Sandhya (her character in DLKH) has with her younger brother. I also have a younger sister, and like it is with siblings, we have had some bad fights, when she would call me names and make fun of my weight. I was excited to cast the right girl for the film. Shanoo asked me to do a mock audition for the role, just for a lark. I didn’t think much about it, but to my absolute surprise, after a few days, I was told that I had cleared round one of the audition. That’s how it started. Then

started my rounds with director Sharat Katariya, but at the same time, I was also auditioning over 100 girls for the role of Sandhya. Sharat had a lot of reservations about me. It took me a while to convince him.

Why do you say that your director had reservations about casting you?
Initially, I don’t think he was convinced about me. He felt, being a Mumbai girl, I won’t be able to do justice to Sandhya.

So how did you manage to convince him? Was there any particular scene which you got you his approval?
We broke the ice a few days after we started shooting. It was the scene where I have an emotional breakdown in the house after I am insulted and slapped (the scene right before the interval). After I did the scene, Sharat and the DoP came to me and said, ‘It’s very rare for us to be moved by a scene, but you managed to do it to us.’ That was the clincher. It was an important moment for me because it made me realise something very important about acting. When you are a newcomer, everyone tells you how to tackle a scene, but after this I realised that I had to figure it out on my own. I had to do what I believed in. I had to own my character. Once I realised this, the process became easier. Sharat also let me be. He would say, ‘Tujhe jo karna hai kar… You know the scene, you know your character, so you tell me how you want to do it.’

What kind of preparation did you do for the role?
I was required to put on a few kilos. I trained with actor Seema Pahwa who plays my mother in the film. She was just wonderful. We would talk for hours. She took me backto so many of my childhood memories that I didn’t know existed. There were days when we would just laugh and days when we would simply cry. I worked on my dialect. Since my mother is from Haryana, I always had a good command of Hindi but I had to get the right Haridwar-waala dialect. The best thing Sharat did was to take me with him for the recce. I stayed in Haridwar and every day, in the morning, Sharat used to drop me off in the local market and I would spend the day observing local women — how they shopped, how they talked, how they dressed. I went to the local parlour to getmy facials and started putting that triangular bindi on my forehead. I knew that our film had great actors who really knew their craft, and I didn’t want to stick out like the odd one. So I had to work harder than others just to match up.

What are the reactions that you are getting after the release of the film?
It’s surreal. Life has changed but it hasn’t hit me yet. I feel it’s happening to someone else

in a parallel universe and I’m just observing it. My mom is my ideal and to hear her say such wonderful things about my work has made me very happy. I really look up to Rani Mukerji, who is an inspiration to me and to hear her say lovely things about mywork really made my day. Many people’s career depended on this film and I’m glad it turned out good for all of us.

So what’s next?
I do have a three-film contract with YRF, but currently, I’m jobless. I hope I get a film soon. And I hope it’s a meaningful film. My parents have brought me up with a certain sense of social responsibility, and I hope I can convey that with my films. Seeing myself on screen was a big moment. I didn’t know I could be coy or shy or express so much with my eyes. That’s why acting is such a beautiful profession. You realise so much about yourself. I’ve become more compassionate since I became an actor.

Right now you are anything but a plus size girl, you have really slimmed down. Do you think you fit the image of the ‘conventional’ Hindi film heroine now?
I’m not trying to conform to any image per se. If I get a script where I need to lookoverweight again, then I’ll put on weight. If I’m required to look anorexic, I’ll do that too. I’m an actor and it’s my job to transform myself according to my roles. I also think that the definition of a Hindi film heroine is changing.

Kangna Ranaut in Queen, Rani (Mukerji) in Mardaani, Seemaji in Ankhon Dekhi played unconventional protagonists. As an industry, we are in the middle of a revolution and things will only get better for us. I’m driven by performances and I think that would determine my film choices. I’m a film buff and I love a Qissa as much as a Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Ankhon Dekhi as much as Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. I hope I’m not put in a bracket by the industry and I’m allowed to make my choices.

Virat Kohli stands for her Lady Love Anushka, slams media for being so rude!

India’s Test captain Virat Kohli on Friday lashed out at critics, who blamed his girlfriend Anushkha Sharma for the team’s exit from ICC Cricket World Cup, stating that they “should be ashamed of themselves” as “no one has won more matches” than him in the last five years. Kohli, opened up for the first time since the World Cup exit, after which his filmstar girlfriend took a lot of unnecessary flak in various social networking sites.

“At a human level, I would say I was hurt and the people who said those things and the way they said should be ashamed of themselves,” Kohli said at a promotional event of his IPL side Royal Challengers Bangalore, in reference to the abuse that the Bollywood star had to face after Kohli’s poor show in the semi-final

Kohli was unusually open during his interaction with media today as he didn’t forget to mention his performance during the past five years.

Love birds Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli seem to be definitely blinded in love. While initially we had an aligned number of evidences proving their togetherness in hometown, we now hear that the duo has secretly flown down to New Zealand to ring in Valentine’s week together! Don’t believe us then take a look at this picture…Yes that’s Virat and Anushka strolling hand in hand on the streets of New Zealand! Having scheduled his test match there, we learn that Virat flew in first followed by his lady love’s surprise visit to spend some quality time with each other! Isn’t that cute? On lookers reveal that the duo is casually roaming about the place and are leaving no stone unturned to paint the town red! Well, we wonder if this much-in-love couple is soon to make their relationship official….may be on this Valentines itself? You never know!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv4mM-OhWj8

“Personally, I was very disappointed. In last five years, the number of matches I’ve helped India win and the consistently I’ve played is more than anyone else in the team. I don’t think there’s anybody else in the team who has done better than me,” Kohli answered with same swagger that one finds in his batting.

Kohli feels that now he knows “whom to trust” after the public outrage over his poor show against Australia in the semi-final of the World Cup.

“To see those reactions after just one match was very disappointing for me personally. It makes you lose faith in a lot of people. It’s a good thing in a way. You get to know who’s with you and who’s not. It was not in my control. But the reactions were very disappointing,” Kohli said at the function where RCB announced its tie-up with home appliances brand Midea.

Taking a dig at the media, Kohli sarcastically remarked that there are different parameters for different players when it comes to dip in form.

“It’s funny that I never know when my rough patch comes but you make the judgement. In my case, if I don’t do well in two games, it’s dip in form but if some other player performs two games out of 10, they come back in form,” Kohli was at his sarcastic best.

“So I don’t get the balance and I really don’t pay attention to it. It’s about how you hit the ball on that particular day,” Kohli was again in his usual dimissive self.

Virat Kohli

VIRAT KOHLI HIT OUT AT CRITICS WHO BLAMED HIS GIRLFRIEND ANUSHKA SHARMA FOR HIS POOR FORM IN THE RECENTLY-CONCLUDED WORLD CUP 2015
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli on April 10 lashed out at people for criticising his girlfriend, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma for the Indian team’s exit from the recently concluded cricket World Cup.

At the end of the media conference on the eve of RCB’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens here, Virat said he wanted to make the people know how hurt he was by the treatment meted out to the actress.

“I just want to speak about something and I want everyone to take note of it,” Virat said as mediapersons were about to get up from their seats after the conclusion of the media conference.

“The stuff that happened after the World Cup semi-final, the way people reacted towards my personal life and Anushka in particular, was really disrespectful,” added the Indian Test captain.

“I want to put this out in public because at the human level I was really hurt and wanted to express that for quite a long time,” he said.

Taking to social networking sites, people had widely slammed Anushka after Virat scored just one run. Following this, Team India was thrashed by Australia by 95 runs in the second semi-final of the cricket World Cup.

“It is very important for the people to know that we are human at the end of the day. We don’t aim to become successful, that is not our only aim,” the 26-year-old said.

“We are doing what we are doing. For people to react that way and to see whatever they did, blaming her for our loss, blaming her for my failure was absolutely hurtful for me. It is shameful that people can react like that to one loss,” added the right-handed batsman.

“I wanted to express that and get it out there because it is important for the people to know how we feel about these things and people should be respected more than they are in these sorts of time in our country.”
Earlier in the day also Virat had slammed people over the issue.

“In last five years, the number of matches I’ve helped India win and the consistency I’ve played is more than anyone else in the team,” the Indian One-Day International (ODI) side vice-captain had said at a promotional event.

“I don’t think there’s anybody else in the team who has done better than me,” he said.

During the Samsung launch we spotted Neha Sharma promoting the brand in several stores in New Delhi yesterday. She was looking so chic and peppy in Hemant and Nandita outfit from their collection ‘The Knot’, Spring 2015. The outfit Neha was wearing was of contemporary and traditional silhouttes. The free spirited and young design was looking fabulous on Neha. The skirt she wore was a half fitting and flared at the bottom one. The skirt was a white coloured one with black contemporary designs on it. The upper was kind of a Dutch inspired style with traditional Indian designs on it. The large sleeves of the shirt had net flares on them and looked a bit boho contemporary. The upper of the two piece separates was kind of a crop top styles and had a hint of sheer net on the hem of the top too. The top also had colorful traditional and contemporary designs on it. The most attractive part of her outfit that kept us drooling were those chunky wedges from Steve Madden. The plain brown wedges had straps that were apt for the modern contempary look. The hairstyle she wore was a halo braid across her temples with the rest let down in soft waves. She kept her side bangs to a side almost hidden which gave her a more comfort look. The makeup she wore was none to less. She had a light stroke of kohl and liner with mild blush. The lipstick she chose was orange hued matt and went perfectly with the outfit giving it a little retro vibe. The nail enamel and the lipstick were of the same hues complimenting the designs of the outfit. The spring separates by Hemant and Nandita was a very chic look that she chose for the launch. The design hinted towards the realisation of ones self embracing the comfort, trend and chicness of the season. The style Neha chose was a very commercial and high street fashion style. It gives a chance for all those college goers to copy.

Lyrics From Britney Spears’ First Album ‘Baby One More Time’ Reveal A True Existential Crisis

Lyrics From Britney Spears’ First Album ‘Baby One More Time’ Reveal A True Existential Crisis.Kevin Federline Plays Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time” At DJ Gig.Kevin Federline made an interesting song choice to kick off a DJ gig on Saturday. The former Mr. Britney Spears opened his set with the pop star’s very first hit, “…Baby One More Time.” Watch below!

Federline was manning the booth at Heat Nightclub in Orange County, where he was reportedly paid $1,000 for spinning. Federline was mum on his eyebrow-raising song selection, but alluded to his time with Spears when paparazzi asked him if he’d want to tour internationally. “I been around the world a couple times already,” he replied. “It was nice. I loved it.” Federline went on to say, “All I wanna do is play music and give people good vibes.”

“…Baby One More Time” was the title track from Spears’ debut album, catapulting her to global fame back in 1998. She and Federline didn’t get together until 2004. They wed later that year, and went on to have two sons together. Spears filed for divorce less than two months after their second child was born in 2006. Federline later obtained sole custody of the children as Spears struggled with her mental health.

They currently co-parent, and Gossip Cop hears things are “all good” between the exes. Both Spears and Federline have also moved on romantically. Following a broken engagement with Jason Trawick and a relationship with David Lucado, the singer has been dating Charlie Ebersol since last fall. Federline, meanwhile, is wed to Victoria Prince, with whom he has two daughters. Check out the video below, and tell us what you think of Federline playing Spears’ song.

I’m a child of the Britney Spears generation. The 1999 album Baby, One More Time was one of the earliest soundtracks of my youth, and I can’t let “Sometimes” hit the ’90s on Nine station without belting along. I’m not alone in Spears’ earliest album inspiring some serious nostalgia — after all, there hasn’t been a Halloween party since 1999 where someone hasn’t dressed up in the school girl outfit from the “Baby, One More Time” video. Spears’ later work may have been more adult and edgier, but it doesn’t hold a candle to the singer’s debut album… mainly because of the inspiring pieces of life advice that the album holds.

I’m telling you guys, the 17-year-old Spears really was the voice we listened to. The profound words of wisdom from those 11 songs inspired an entire nation to send e-mail to one another’s hearts and to love the person who drives us the craziest. Analyzing and interpreting these lyrics proves one thing: Spears had a hell of a lot of “important” things to say that we completely missed because we were too busy listening to her intoxicating voice. Here are the most inspirational quotes from Spears’ most intriguing work, because she never gets the philosophy credit she truly deserves.

Loneliness up ahead, emptiness behind/ Where do I go?” — “From the Bottom of My Broken Heart”

Here, Spears is reflecting on the eternal human struggle. We live a lonely life only to plunge into oblivion when our time comes. It’s no wonder her heart is so broken.

The earth is movin’ but I can’t feel the ground.” — “(You Drive Me) Crazy”

Another comment on humanity, obviously. Spears is pointing out just how little knowledge human beings really have about the world we live in, and how we choose to turn a blind eye to our mortality.

‘Cause living in a dream of you and me is not the way that life should be.” — “Born to Make You Happy”

Spears is reflecting on some of the existential questions asked by films like The Matrix. Should we choose to live in a more pleasant reality, or confront the harsh world that actually exists around us? Spears gives us her answer in this song cleverly disguised as a love ballad.

And for us there is no end in sight/Each day that I spend around you/Passes by too fast” — “Thinkin’ About You”

Here, Spears juxtaposes the ideas of time slipping away and being able to hold onto it forever. Spears is talking about a problem of our generation — the idea that we live life as though we will all live forever until we suddenly realize that our time has been wasted on meaningless, unfulfilling things.

“My loneliness is killing me” — “Baby, One More Time”

The lack of human connection is killing us all — emotionally, anyway.

And all I do is check the screen to see if you’re OK” — “E-Mail My Heart”

Here the singer is speaking to the human connections lost by our reliance on technology. It’s a message that we all need to hear more of in our wired-in world. Thankfully, artists like Spears are here to deliver the hard, unrelenting truth — no matter how difficult it is to digest.

Poonam Pandey in Fresh Controversy!

TV is most certainly meant for everything but entertainment. That’s what you’d have said had you stumbled upon photos of Sunny Leone who strikes a weird pose in nothing but a skimpy outfit to spook the viewers in the upcoming episode of ‘Aahat 6’. As many of you would have read it by now, the adult star will be appearing on the show to promote her upcoming film ‘Ek Paheli Leela’. We’ve watched the stills of her film and know enough not to watch them. It makes you look just so stupid! While many think discussing it openly would subject them to verbal beating they’d get from friends, there are those who believe this is just an attempt to improve the show’s TRPs. No matter what people feel, it is obvious that the trick will only make the show look desperately stupid.

And going by how she has performed in her past projects, there is nothing significant that we remember of her acting. Even those who have watched the utterly nonsensical promos of her films would be right in saying that it is all about shedding clothes, making love and caressing! So will her presence really work in the favour of the show? Nah! Will ‘Aahat 6’ continue to shock the viewers with its bizarre twists and turns? Yes. And also make the viewers wonder what the producers were thinking when they gave their nod.

A few weeks back, Poonam Pandey appeared on ‘Comedy Classes’ that probably made many of its ‘fans’ dumber. The show is obviously not cerebral, and as expected, clogged up the TV screen, and explained why people can’t stand such inconceivably stupid shows. From Poonam calling herself a ‘sanskari ladki jo kabhie jhooth nahi bolti’ to stand up comedian Bharti Singh lifting her and passing lewd jokes, the episode went on to prove what a mindless show it is which people continue to watch for reasons unknown.

Actress Poonam Pandey who always surprises her fans on Twitter with her bold pictures has finally recieved another Bollywood project after Nasha.

She willl next be seen in a movie titled ‘Helen’. She has clarified that the project is not a biopic on the yesteryear’s dancing diva Helen.

Poonam Pandey to be seen on the silver screen again in Helen.

Poonam: “Helen is not a biopic on the great Helenji. Helen in our film just draws a feeling from the great dancing actress. At this point of time, I can’t reveal much about my character.”

While Poonam claims that the film is not a biopic, sources say that there is a famous Helen dance number in the film, and Poonam has been doing workshops for the same.

The makers of the film released the poster of Helen.

Poonam says she has started rehearsals for this film.

“Right now, the rehearsals are going on and I am learning a few dance moves. We will start shooting by next month and the film will be widely shot in Mumbai and Goa.”

The film, directed by Ajit Rajpal, is produced by Sureh Nakum and Vipin Medhekar under the banner of The World Networks.

But what must have shocked many was how ‘MasterChef 4’ judge Sanjeev Kapoor turned pandit for the show’s semi final week. We all have immense faith in his recipes and admire him for the manner in which he encourages the contestants, but to see him don the look of a ‘pandit’ to spice up the show was not needed. That was the least we had expected from the most celebrated face of Indian cuisine. We’ll always respect him for the tips he suggest, but will we ever form the same opinion for his acting skills? Looks difficult!Poonam Pandey is all set with her second Bollywood flick Helen which however, is being supposed to be a biopic on Salman Khan’s mother and veteran actress Helen. Nevertheless, Poonam has now come up with a statement denying the supposition and claimed that every Helen is not Salman’s mother. “Salman Khan’s mother is Helenji, but every Helen is not Salman Khan’s mother,” said Poonam Pandey. The controversial diva is upset that a section of media has been trying to sensationalise the film’s title. Once upon a time, Poonam Pandey was controversy’s child, but she refuses to be drawn into further controversies.  “Helen is just a feeling in the film. It is not a biopic on Salman Khan’s mother, the great Helenji. Helen in our film just draws a feeling from the great dancing actress,” says Poonam Pandey.

Even as the number of shows with bizarre turns continues to grow, it is a fact that the viewers won’t be satisfied with such average, run-of-the-mill projects meant only to promote films, a star and renovating a concept. Confused about what to do? Just stop watching TV, and your life wouldn’t crash. Take a break for a week and you’d realize you haven’t missed out anything crucial.
